The family behind Lyng Dal
Lyng Dal is a small family business.
The family consists of Kristin and Nicolaj and their 3 sons – Victor, Noah and Oskar, and daughters – Nellie and Johanne; Anita and her spouse, Karen, and their daughter Nola and son Elton. Together they have a shared passion and interest in good hosting as well as well-prepared food and wine in harmony.
Kristin
Born and raised in Gjern, has lived in Silkeborg. Trained waiter with silver and sommelier (Wine Expert) qualification from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and has been self-employed for 4 years.
Nicolaj
Kristin’s partner. Born and raised in Grauballe. Has lived in Silkeborg and Aarhus. Nicolaj is a trained chef and has been self-employed for a total of 8 years before Lyng Dal, as well as head chef at several different restaurants.
Anita
Born and raised in Gjern, has lived in Silkeborg and Aarhus. Trained chef, sommelier and waiter, passed with silver. Has won bronze, silver and gold (2011) at the Danish Championships for waiters.
