All activities in Gammel Rye and the surrounding area<\/h2>

Gl. Rye is a cozy village close to Himmelbjerget – about a ten-minute drive. The town has a population of around 1,400 and is part of Skanderborg Municipality. Old Rye is characterized by former centers of power and monasteries. Several kings have been crowned in Gl. Rye Church. St. S\u00f8ren’s Church has an exciting history as an old pilgrimage church. \u00d8m Monastery Museum is just a 5-minute drive from us. If you are into activities and other good things, we recommend a visit a little further down the road in Gl. Rye Antik. <\/p>

Gl. Rye M\u00f8lle is located on a hilltop in Gl. Rye, where there is a magnificent view of forests and heather hills. There are also several hiking trails in the area, which start from the museum. Put on your hiking boots and take a stroll in the protected heather hills, which is the closest activity to Lyng Dal Hotel & Restaurant. There are many museums close to Gl. Rye. Among other things, there is the opportunity to say hello to the Grauballemanden or see Asger Jorn’s paintings at Museum Jorn in Silkeborg. Silkeborg is a cozy shopping city with a large pedestrian area in the city center. It takes about 20 minutes from Lyng Dal Hotel & Restaurant. <\/p>

A half-hour drive from Lyng Dal Hotel & Restaurant you will find the world’s smallest city, Aarhus. A visit to the Old Town is an unforgettable experience and the cultural activities in the Aarhus Concert Hall are many and of high artistic quality. The city also offers great shopping and many other activities. <\/p>

For the little ones, a visit to Legoland and\/or Givskud Zoo is a sure hit. Legoland is located about 50 minutes from Gammel Rye, and Givskud Zoo about 40 minutes. <\/p>
